Tarere Ventures Limited is a Nigerian Company that specialises in Total Health Care Management Solutions including medical equipment supply, consultancy and training. We are also skilled in providing a wide range of services in the Construction Sector with emphasis on Mechanical, Civil and Engineering services. We undertake extensive research in providing advice to our customers to help modify desires and emphasize needs to which available resources can be applied to deliver sustainable ‘value for money’ services. Our diverse mix of consultants and experience assist us to always provide best advice and solutions that satisfy our many customers, often with limited resources.
The Nature of Our Business
Hospital infrastructure development, planning and designing Supply and installation of medical equipment and facilities management. Provision of ultramodern structural/architectural designs for clinical departments and other well laid out logistic services.
Staffing And Training
We organise application training and retraining of medical and paramedical staff (local and overseas in collaboration with manufacturers who are our strategic partners) on every equipment that we supply/install, e.g. BLS (Basic Life Support), ALS (Advanced Life Support), APLS (Advanced Paediatric Life Support) and other specialised training programmes to improve the performance of medical staff.
Clinical Medical Services
This includes provision of comprehensive clinical services in special conditions and challenging environment, for example in the creeks of the Niger Delta where access and security are often difficult problems for regular government medical personnel. We have many years of work experience in the running and management of clinics in the creeks in the Niger Delta providing acute surgical, acute medical and primary health care. We have also undertaken the audit and reviews of Health Care packages (e.g. PHC, free maternal and child health care, free rural health care, etc) as well as needs assessment and analysis of existing medical facilities and feasibility studies for new ones for government and other institutions.

He is the founding and lead partner of Tarere Venture. He has a vast experience in Health Care in Nigeria and the UK. He is also closely involved in the organisation and mobilising of the Nigerian community in the UK, to support the growth and development of Nigeria.
Dr. Biu is a Consultant Paediatrician,Community Child Health at the Southmead Hospital in Bristol England. He is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Child Health at the Bristol University, England in which he is involved in training medical students and junior Medical Doctors. Part of his job involves policy formulation and coordinating medical care for children under 18 years in a large community in Bristol. Dr. Biu is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the North Bristol NHS Trust. He is a Paediatrician with over 25 years of work experience in the UK. Is currently the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Regional Adviser for West Africa.
He has prior to this appointment, worked in several leading Teaching Hospitals in England and Wales including St. Bartholomew’s Hospital London, Queen Elizabeth Hospital for children, Hackney Road London and the Royal Hospital for sick children, Bristol.
Dr. Biu also has tremendous experience in Health Care in Nigeria. He trained at undergraduate and specialist levels in Nigeria, and has actively been regularly involved in contributing towards the development of Paediatrics in Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the developing world in the past 15 years. He worked in Health Care in Nigeria for 10 years for the Nigerian Air Force Medical service and later at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital where he trained as a specialist Paediatrician before relocating to the UK in 1989.
Dr. Biu is presently the Medical Consultant and Resource person to Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) responsible for the Ijaw ethnic Nationality area. His role includes advising the Executive Chairman of the commission and the government of Delta State on the health needs of people in the Ijaw ethnic Nationality areas. His vast experience is a huge asset to our organisation and a mark of guaranty on quality in the projects that we undertake, some of which are listed elsewhere in this document. He has previous experience in running factory Clinic under Marian Hospitals in Lagos. This factory Clinic includes PZ factory Clinic, Nestle Clinic, Lever Brothers Clinic and University of Lagos Health Center. He was head of Paediatric Accident and Emergency Department between 1994-1997 at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

Mr. Gideon Timi-Biu B.A. Socio; Dip Tour. and Hosp. Mgt; PgDip B. Admin; M. Sc. Urban & Rural Regeneration Director of Finance/Administration
He is an astute administrator with international experience. He oversees the day-to-day financial management, strategic planning, procurement and business development of our company. He brings to our team a disciplined background of quality guaranty from many years of work experience at Bristol City Council, UK where he was manager responsible for various socioeconomic development and regeneration initiatives aimed at eradicate poverty, and ensuring the availability and accessibility of frontline services (e.g. healthcare, transportation, schools, etc) within the inner-city Bristol area. He understands contending and contemporary issues in human development and how best to manage these challenges within the constraints of resource. He also has vast private sector experience in the hospitality industry in the UK. He previously worked in Nigeria in the private and public sectors.

Dr. Adesola Adelaja MBBS General Manager (Medical)
He is a medical doctor with many years experience in clinical medical services and practice. He has had exposure to acute and emergency care in General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Surgery. He brings to our company his wide knowledge and experience in clinical and logistical challenges in the delivery of medical services in Nigeria to inform our team of consultants and international experts on practical realities on ground, as we undertake the development of solutions and delivery of service to clients.

Consultant Surgeon – Dr. Oladapo Fafemi MBBS FRCS (England) FRCS (Edinburgh)
Dr. Fafemi graduated MBBS from the University of Ibadan in 1978, he moved on to the UK immediately he completed his NYSC duties. He has 42 years experience in Clinical Medicine and Healthcare Management, he is presently a Consultant Breast and General Surgeon and Clinical Director of Surgery at the North Middlesex Hospital, London. He has had extensive experience in setting up and managing various aspects of surgical practice in the UK and Nigeria. At the present moment, he has extended his surgical skills to clinics in Abuja and Lagos, improving the care of patients with breast cancer. He has a lot of Clinical and Administrative experience in developing clinical practice.

Management Consultant – Engr. Dr. Okechukwu John MbonuBSc (First class University of Manchester 1977) PHD Mech. Engineering University of Manchester 1982
Okechukwu John Mbonu attended Mayflower School Ikenne where he obtained an aggregate score of A1 in seven subjects in the West African School Certificate Examination. He later attended the Federal Government College Warri for his higher school and he obtained the best result in the entire School Certificate Exam (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) He was awarded the Shell-BP overseas scholarship to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manchester where he obtained a first-class degree and won four academic prizes. He obtained his PhD. degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manchester UK. His career started as an Engineer with Nigerian Breweries PLC in 1982, he was posted to Heineken Technical Services in the Netherlands for a one-year development program. He returned from the Netherlands and was appointed the Group Engineering Manager of Nigerian Breweries in 1990. In 1996, he was seconded by the Nigerian Breweries Plc to Shell Petroleum Development Corporation on contract, after the contract with SPDC, he was elevated to the board of Nigerian Breweries Plc as the company’s Human Resource Director in 1999. He was then posted to Sierra Leone Breweries Limited in Freetown as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the company; he subsequently retired from Heineken International/Nigerian Breweries and joined the services of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) Nigeria Limited as a Director.
In 2014, he joined Execution Edge Limited as one of the founding partners for the provision of Management Advisory Services to Medium and Large-Scale business enterprises. As part of his career development, he has attended several local and international learning events including courses at INSTAD France, London School of Economics UK, Stanford University USA and Heineken University Netherlands. He is a highly rated Management Consultant with a wealth of experience in the Health and Waste Recycling industry.

Dr. Oshonwoh, Ebiarede Ferdinand – MBBS Uniben 2000, MPH Uniben 2012 Health Services Consultant
Dr. Oshonwoh, Ebiarede Ferdinand has a vast experience in primary and secondary health care in delta state and Nigeria, he graduated in 2000, he was Medical Officer at the General Hospital Burutu between 2002-2004 and Medical Officer in Charge of Patani General Hospital between 2004-2012. He was Chief Medical Officer and later Assistant Director Health Services Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). He was also Project Coordinator of the DESOPADEC free medical outreach under the consultancy of Tarere Ventures Limited, he is committed to quality service delivery and has a wealth of experience in the administration of secondary health care services.

Dr. David Kieghe – Technical Consultant
Dr. David Kieghe is a global development specialist. He provides independent consultancy in health systems strengthening,political governance, and economic development. Dr. Kieghe also advises on the conception, design, implementation and the evaluation of development projects and programmes to achieve the most investment impact. He has a multidisciplinary background in health care, public health, education, and business; and he is the author of the book, “National Ambition Reconstructing Nigeria.”

Operations and Health and Safety Manager – Mr. Ebenezer Biu

As the Operations and Environmental Health and Safety Manager, I he handles all operational activities, he is responsible for ensuring workplace safety while minimizing environmental impact. His major responsibilities include developing and implementing environmental health and safety (EHS) policies, conducting environmental risk assessments and audits, ensuring compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations, monitoring waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices, training employees on environmental safety and emergency response, investigating incidents and recommending corrective actions. He is also responsible for the conduct risk assessments to identify hazards related to medical waste, biohazards, and workplace safety. Ensure compliance with health regulations, including infection control, hazardous material handling, and emergency response protocols. Monitor waste disposal procedures to ensure compliance with environmental laws and sustainability practices. Investigate workplace incidents (e.g., needlestick injuries, chemical exposure) and implement preventive measures. He is currently a health worker in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Preye Biu is an Administrator with key experience in Marketing, GIS, Web Development, Public Speaking and General Operations. He has several years of working experience both in the private and public sectors, he is hardworking, versatile, reliable and proactive. He plays an important role in the planning and operational functions of the company.

Douglas Osei-Appauh – Human Resources Manager
He is an enthusiastic person with a sound working experience as a Human Resource Management Consultant, Procurement Advisor and an Entrepreneur. He has worked with and for different organsations and enterprises in Africa and the United Kingdom. He currently hold portfolios in Ghana and the United Kingdom.

Operations and Risk Management Consultant – Olufolake Kuye

Olufolake Kuye has been an advanced Nurse Practitioner since 2008, she presently works as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at the Manor House Urgent Care Center London where she initiates the assessment, diagnosis and advise on patients. She prescribes treatments and directs patients to appropriate services. She has twenty-five years clinical knowledge and management experience in both Primary and Secondary Healthcare organisations. She has the ability to influence change and she is a qualified non-medical Prescriber from the London South Bank University. Her experience in Primary and Secondary health care organization will be invaluable with respect to the P&A Medical Clinic.




Logistics Manager and Data Analyst – Rebecca Ibukun Omosanya B.Sc. Microbiology
As an accomplished logistic expert and data analyst, I oversee the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods within the organization, coordinate and optimize the flow of goods from suppliers to the medical department, monitor stock levels and ensure timely restocking, takes charge of transportation and distribution, ensure adherence to transportation and safety regulations and generally lead and train logistics staff for smooth operations.
